How to get past software and keep files?

I'm on a computer which has a wallpaper upon startup which reads: "Caution: This computer has special software installed that removes all saved files after rebooting. Please be sure to save all of your work to the (Y:) Drive only." And it does exactly this. Unfortunately the Y: Drive only has 1 gig of space, which is pretty much filled up already. So it would be fantastic to use the computer harddrive to keep data without loosing it after every reboot.

This is a computer within a large network (school) where all the other computers in the school have the same software installed. How to get past software and keep files?Right! Sounds like Deep Freeze.

Having admin privileges will not help. Being the owner of the computer and the operating system will not help.

CAUTION: Deleting the program from safe mode will cause severe problem! (I've done this, and re-install my OS after a while).

You need to get the deepfreeze password;

OR find a program called unfreeze (Please note that the action of downloading and/or using the program may be illegal in your area). You'll find it from many hacker resources.How to get past software and keep files?Its probably using DeepFreeze, its a special software that restores the computer completely after using it. That way if a virus or something did come it wouldn't matter since it gets restored to its original settings.

You will need administrator priveledge to stop it. Cause its a boot time event.How to get past software and keep files?You'd need admin privileges to change the size of the Y drive. It would probably be a lot easier to just save everything to a thumb drive.
