Disney to be the first foreign TV channel on Chinese cable. What is the cultural impact?

As part of its just announced deal to construct a $3.5 billion theme park in Shanghai, Disney is being granted a slot in China's cable TV system. The Disney Channel will become the first ever foreign operated TV channel in China. What will be the positive and (if any) negative cultural impact of this?Disney to be the first foreign TV channel on Chinese cable. What is the cultural impact?
China is a very interesting test case. The freedom they are allowing in will permanently influence their people. Once China opened the door under Nixon the dice were cast.

As we are witnessing with Afghanistan compared to Iraq, democracy requires an educated middle class to be sustainable.

Furthermore, this build up in China's economy and rise of an educated citizenry is paving the way for what India already has, a free democratic society.

Or we become a socialist nation, wonder about the inverse being true as well. With fewer graduates and an eroding middle class it is not impossible. That said, I am optimistic.
Positive: Jonas Brothers tour in China!

Negative: Hannah Montana tour in China :(Disney to be the first foreign TV channel on Chinese cable. What is the cultural impact?
