What is the best/cheapest way to buy Disney tickets for Orlando?

I am travelling to Orlando, Florida from the UK next month on my honeymoon. We would like to visit the disney parks and also some other attractions like the universal parks.

This will be our first ever visit. I have seen various ways of buying tickets online. I have been advised that I can buy tickets on the plane (I am flying with virgin atlantic from Gatwick) but I have no idea what the prices are.

We are going to be in florida for 2 weeks. Any advice would be gratefully recieved. What is the best/cheapest way to buy Disney tickets for Orlando?
The only real way to save money on tickets (other than sitting through a time-share sales pitch) is to pre-order your tickets. One of the sites we use, www.destinationsinflorida.com does have a promotion for one-day free, if you pre-order a 4, 5, or 6-day pass (there's a link right on the homepage in the right column).

Keep in mind, you have a base ticket that does not include Park Hopping (ability to go from park to park in the same day), the Water Parks, Fun, and More option (visits to Disney's water parks and Downtown Disney and Wide World of Sports), or the No Expiration option (the un-used days on your ticket never expire). These are three options you may want to add. I know Destinationsinflorida.com's promotion does not include the No Expiration option, but you can add the other two and still get the one-day free promotion.

Also, Universal Studios offers a Two Park Unlimited pass that allows admission to both of their parks for 7 consecutive days for about the same price as a one-day Park Hopper ticket from Disney. Just another option to consider.

As to buying tickets on the plane, just keep in mind that once you are in the air, it will be hard to pre-order the tickets anywhere else, online. This may restrict you to whatever Virgin may be charging for the tickets.

Hope you have a great vacation!

I have never heard of purchasing tickets on an airplane before but it's possible. I would suggest seeing if the airline perhaps offers a package that includes theme park tickets or purchase directly through Disney. What is the best/cheapest way to buy Disney tickets for Orlando?
I would look into some of the vacation packages or call Disney and see what they suggest.
No cheap tickets to Disney. Best you can do is sit through a timeshare presentations. What is the best/cheapest way to buy Disney tickets for Orlando?
For the last couple of years we have bought all of our tickets on ebay. You can save a few bucks
If you go for more then 3 days try this

The discount is not huge but at least you get them in advance and do not have to waste time staying in-line..
That is incorrect about Disney not offering any discounts for tickets. Disney does offer many discounts on tickets. Disney offers discounts to Florida Residents, AAA members, and military (just to name a few). Plus, people that cannot take advantage of these discounts can still take advantage of pre-order discounts. These pre-order discounts are set directly by Disney. You can go right to www.disneyworld.com to see the pre-order discounts that you receive on tickets.
Disney DOES NOT sell discounted tickets to other organizations to sell at a discounted rate.. so if someone is offering you discounted Disney tickets they are: 1. trying to sell you something 2. selling used tickets (illegal and they might not let you in) 3. Scamming you in some other way.

Time shares are a nightmare.. its not worth sitting through a 3 hour high pressure sale to get one discounted ticket.

Disney does offer a few discounts to individuals but you will be buying them FROM DISNEY and not from a third party. They have florida resident, aaa, and a few others. The discount is very small.

Be very wary of buying the tickets from an online auction like Ebay.. if you get to the park and the tickets have been used your vacation could be ruined. Also Disney has fingerprint ID now so If the person used a 5 day pass for 1 day you STILL can't use it.
