What can a 19th month old do at Disney world?

We are planning to go on a 4 day vacation next month with my 19 month old daughter to Disney World. Given that we just have 4 days there, what are the best places to see? Since she is very small, we may not want to cover a lot of the attractions. But please advise which are the must-see places for young toddlers? Also I would be happy if you can suggest good places to stay. Thanks! What can a 19th month old do at Disney world?
I was very surprised at the number of rides an infant is allowed to ride on at Disney World. You would be surprised at how much they actually do enjoy it even if they don't really understand what going on. At Magic Kingdon:

It's a Small World

Peter Pan

Philharmagic (or any of the sit down shows for that matter don't bother with the 3d glasses for her)

Pirates of the Carribean (they won't get scared they don't understand that yet)

Haunted Mansion (same as above my 12 month old loved it and kept laughing)

Pooh ride

Snow White ride

Really any of the slow moving rides, if you are unsure ask and cast member before getting in line.

Also if you want to go on something that she can't ride, ask the cast member for a parent swap pass. One of you rides then when then get off you go straight into the fast pass lane and as a single rider will get on really fast. This way you can enjoy Test Track, SPace Mountain, Rock n Roller Coaster.

Watch her and she will crash in the stroller when she is ready. We used a very lightweight cloth to cover the front of the stroller when napping to help with sleep and to provide shade from teh sun. Constantly give her water and/or juice.

Take your time.

Also, that is a great age to explore the world showcase at Epcot, when the get a little older they may think it's boring. But at that age she will just go along for the ride.

Staying at a Disney resort is going to be much easier. Rent a stroller. I tried carrying a full size stroller on the monorail and it was a nightmare. If you are spending most of your time at a particular park (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, ANIMAL Kingdom, Disney Studios) pick a hotel with direct access to that park.

Have a great time.
Philharmagic

Finding Nemo Musical

Finding Nemo Ride

Also Typhoon Lagoon Kiddie Area is great. My son was up and down the water slides. (he was 19 months old in October 07 when we went, and we are going again this October)

sit and cry with the rest of the ungrateful kids. It's suppose to be the happiest place on earth...and when you look around, all you see are kids crying! Good Times!
We took my one year old to Disney in january. He had fun, but make sure you bring plenty of sunblock and drinks with you. it gets hot there. My little guy pretty much hung out in his stroller most of the time. There are quite a few rides you can go on w little ones though. Just don't try to do too much at a time, I am sure she will still need naps.
Fuss and cry! Leave that trip for when the child is old enough to ride all the rides. It's not really a place for toddlers, hire a sitter. Save yourself the trouble and headache and leave the baby behind.
yea but u can't go on many rides
I agree a 19 month old is way too young for Disney. You are spending a lot of money to go there and a baby just can't enjoy it. You will be, and should be, catering to her. That means stopping a lot, nap time, going back to the resort to hang out and cool off. It is going to be very HOT. Dragging a kid around in a stroller in 98 degree heat makes for a cranky baby. My daughter at 4 had more fun at the pool with Dad. They hung out there and my 9 year old son and I hit the parks.

There are some water playgrounds in Toon Town and Fantasy land in MK. Toon Town is the only must see for a toddler.

Stay at a Disney Resort. Traveling to and from the parks and your hotel is a nightmare outside Disney property. Polynesian is the best for getting around to all the parks. It also has a sand beach she can play in. The Value resorts are the cheapest.
Having at one time taken a very young child to WDW, I'd say, leave the child with grandma and just the adults go. That's too young to enjoy or appreciate it and you either have to plan everything by the baby's schedule or put up with a fussy baby who is off schedule. Especially with only four days, it's going to be a rat race for all of you.

My opinion only - a child should be at least 5 to go to WDW.
i have to agree with most people. She is really too young to appreciate it. Wait till she is older. June or July is extremely hot. Its anywhere from 95-100 degrees plus the humidity is horrible. If you aren't used to it, you will be miserable. All of you will be miserable. I recommend waiting a few years till she is older and then come.
im sorry if i sound mean, but taking someone that young to disney world is useless and a waste of time. she will not remeber going, she cant do anything, and she will make your time miserable. going to disney world is expensive, so take my advice and save your money
Well, it could possibly ride the dumbo ride
Have you already made the reservations? If not, I would either skip the trip and save it for when your kid is old enough to enjoy and remember it, or hire a sitter and leave her behind. She will either get grumpy because of the heat and/or not remember the trip.

If you have already made the reservations, then remember to bring the sunscreen, a stroller with a shade thing on top, and some cold water. It gets really hot sometimes. Just take her on the kiddie rides and get a few pictures with Mickey and the Gang.
