What time of year is the best time to visit Disney World in Florida?

Im planning a trip for many members of my family all a different ages to Disney World in Orlando, and I wasnt sure when would be the best time of year to visit the parks. Im Virginia, and we have 4 distinct seasons. From what Ive been told, Florida just goes from hot to more hot. What time of year is the best time to visit Disney World in Florida?
I've been to the parks in every season and without a doubt the best time, BY FAR, was mid-late October, as a couple of folks mentioned earlier. But let me explain why.

The weather was perfection..low to mid 80's and to my shock No humidity. I didn't know Fl came w/out humidity!!!! And figures it was one trip where I actually packed a Mickey poncho, having spent a small fortune on them in the past, and it was the single only trip I didn't need it--and I was there for almost 2 weeks!!!! The only warning is I've heard there is outside hurricane potential then...but not when I've gone thank goodness.

Beyond the weather, the crowds were by far the least and the lines the shortest. The only downside is there are shorter park hours BUT w/out the lines we got so much more done than with longer hours. And there's so much going on then. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a must do! Aside from the fun of running around Disney in a costume and feeling like a kid again (you don't have to, but many did and sure was fun), there were hardly any lines for anything as tkts are limited. And there were lot's of fun special events. Just a blast! Over at Epcot, the Wine and Food Festival is going on, and that is such a treat...literally lol. Also, forget if it's right before or after the Garden festival, but many of the topiaries and other specialties were still up. Also, because it's one of the lighter times, there often are great deals available. We got the best rate I've ever had at a moderate, and given how long a trip it was, I was worried about staying on site where I wanted. But got my fav CBR!

So for all those reasons, with weather top of the list, I'd pick end of Oct hands down.
February - usually the least crowded, too. The weather is finally cool and beautiful. What time of year is the best time to visit Disney World in Florida?
January! It's a beautiful time of year and there aren't any heavy crowds!
Actually, December can be quite chilly in Florida! All that moisture in the air just goes straight through you. Now granted, to some 50 degrees isn't chilly, but it is pretty cold for Florida.

To avoid high crowds and get the best rates, visit during the very first week in December. If you want low crowds, decent rates AND warmer weather to enjoy pools, beaches, etc... visit in mid to late Sept through mid November!

By far it is the last week in august. All the southern kids are back in school already, and the northern kids have mostly already taken the family vacation by then. The park will be empty.
I live here in Florida and have had annual passes to Disney.

Summer is way too hot and it will be crowded-especially during the 4th of July week.

If you go in the spring avoid the weeks of spring break/Easter-this is one of the most crowded times.

October is a great time to go, it is cooler and lines are shorter. Disney also offers deals at this time also.

Christmas time will be the most crowded.

Check out ALLEARSNET.com. This site is your best source for info on Disney.
Fall is the best time. Less people at parks and hotels are cheaper.
We love being there for the Holidays, we go in April one year and November the next. That way we have the holiday experience and can do the water parks also. November 18 is Mickey's Birthday, and the park is usually decorated for Christmas by then.
Supposedly, the week after Labor Day all the way up to Halloween-ish.
an overview of the year as for good times to go

jan- after the new year the rest of the month is good except for presidents weekend. and weather is amazing. just need light jacket at night, rain is rare.

feb-great time to go as well, attendance is not high and weather is great too!.

march-if easter is in april come in march for low attendance and weather a nice warm weather.

april-if easter is in march come in april (see the vice versa thing) for low attendance, weather a nice warm as well.

may-weather turns to humid, and come early may for attendance to still be low, once memorial day hits, its officially summer times meaning long lines.

june-aug humid, it rains every day at 3pm no lie! long lines and crabby people because of it.

sept.attendance low because everyone has gone back to school, still humid but not as bad.

oct. attendance surprisingly high because everyone from europe comes over on 'holiday' however weather is nice, and no humidity.

nov.-after halloween (busy day) nov is a great month to come up until a few days prior to thanksgiving then the parks are packed. weather amazing. only light jacket in the evening.

dec- if you want to come and see the park decorated for the holidays, this is the time to come, but only from dec1. to dec. 15th after that the holiday crowds come and parks will hit capacity, and lines will be hours wait. weather again light jacket.

as for seasons. it goes from hot humid summer, to a fall, and back to hot humid summer, no winter, and no spring.

have a magical time!!!
In my opinion I really like the last week in October, the parks are not too crowded, there are Halloween parties (costs extra) and the weather is warm without being unbearably hot..also Disney often will offer free dining if you stay at one of their resorts
Based on my personal opinion and observations in general, the second week of January through the end of February is the prime time to come to Disney. The weather is pleasant and the lines are very short.

As an alternative, the first two weeks in November are ideal, too.
October
a good time is near the end of summer break
A couple of years ago my family and I went in January (just after New Year's) and it was awesome! The weather was pleasant (mild during the day, windbreaker cool in the evening) and most important .... the lines were short.
Even though Disney World is inland, the Hurricane and Tropical Storm Season begins June 1st and goes to Early Oct. Summers are HOT %26amp; there is often daily rain (if even for a half hour). It's also crowded since kids are out of school and parents can take off. I've always had good luck with Oct-Nov.

I do think another good time to go is May. The weather is beautiful and Disney is not at all crowded. Orlando has so much to do, your kids may also like Epcot, SeaWorld and Universal.

I would avoid July--Sept

Have Fun!
I really like the parks in January and Feb. The lines are short, the park isn't that crowded. And the tourists that are there are European and very polite. Also, that's usually a dry time of year. Since you're from VA, if we consider it to be "chilly" outside, you'll probably be laughing at us.

What you heard was MOSTLY correct....we have warm, hot, and oh my God hot.
The weather is perfect during February and March. Also there is much less of a crowd during those months.
