Do I have to install all software after formating?

I'm planning to format my computer, but there's one thing that keeps my from doing it. Last time I installed the entire Adobe CS3 it took a while.

If so, then your software may continue to work in some cases, after you reconnect that external harddrive. Formatting takes a while to get everything back, but normally its worth it.

Note that Adobe CS3 takes amazingly less time to install on windows 7 for some reason - i too was worried about spending 5 hours installing it, but yes i was surprised. So windows 7 makes it quicker.



But again, all will be lost on the partition you kill, so get ready to install everything again.
