What is the best video editing software?

I use Sony Vegas 8.0 at the moment and im wondering if Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro or any other video editing software would be better. Im looking for professional looking videos and great effects, not looking for usability or anything.What is the best video editing software?The top-ranked video edting software for PC:Ulead Video Studio, Adobe Premiere Elements and SonyVegas.

What is the best video editing software?I have been using Final Cut Pro professionally for many years and would suggest that everyone moves over to it. Premiere in my opinion is not as great.What is the best video editing software?
