What is a good video recording software?

I recently purchased a Logitech C910 webcam so I can record Youtube videos, and the picture quality and video qualities are great. However, as soon as I switch the photo/video option on the Logitech video recording software to video, the frame-rate plummets to a measly .3 frames per second. Please recommend a good video recording/editing software I can use with the webcam, if it is helpful I'll give you 10 points!What is a good video recording software?Never tried it.
