Can someone recommend good software for installing chatrooms and forums to my website?

I would prefer if the chatroom and forum were of the same software. Can someone recommend good software for installing chatrooms and forums to my website? This can be achieved by Drupal or Joomla which are very similar. If you are going to use Drupal, the forum is already built-in you just need to enable it under modules. Then you will need to download the Chat Room module, upload it to the 'sites' directory and enable it. If you use Joomla, download and enable the jPFChat and Forum extensions.

Neither involve any coding and the base is installed through the browser but you will need to be able to use FTP for uploading the files and be able to create an empty database with a username and password - should be very easy.

I did not add any links but by searching on goolge you can easily find them, make sure you download the matching version of any module/extension - e.g. the latest stable versions are drupal 6.x and joomla 1.5x . You may also search for a comparison to enable you to choose between the two.

There are other alternatives but these offer a straight forward and smooth solution. Good luck. Can someone recommend good software for installing chatrooms and forums to my website?Try and download the free scripts: "chat script" and "mini blog" from http://www.web2coders.com
