What additional software should I buy when purchasing a MacBook Pro?

I am looking into buying a new computer and am considering the new MacBook Pro, but I'm trying to figure out an estimate end cost. Is there any additional software I need to buy? What additional software should I buy when purchasing a MacBook Pro?You really don't need Bootcamp unless you're extremely passionate about using windows software on your mac. It's just an easy way for windows viruses to harm your computer and you can function fine without it.

Anyways, the software you'll need really depends on what you're going to use your computer for. You should probably get Microsoft Office (or iWork... I'm a huge apple fan but I still use Microsoft Office instead; though iWork is cheaper).

Do you do creative things like edit movies/photos or create your own music? All macs come with iLife, which already lets you do those things. However, if you're really interested in creative stuff like that, you can also get software like Aperture on your computer. I had Final Cut preinstalled on one of my computers because I'm really into movie making and wanted something a little bit better than iMovie (a part of iLife). It was about $200, so only get it if you're really into that stuff.

Otherwise, you really don't need much else from Apple. You might want some Adobe stuff or other software after you buy your computer.

Good luck... you're getting the new MacBook Pro? That's awesome because it got great performance reviews and it's already the most beautiful laptop in the world. What additional software should I buy when purchasing a MacBook Pro?It depends upon what you plan to use it for. You could look into Bootcamp which allows you to install Windows on your Mac, just in case you want a program that isn't supported on a Mac.
