This takes the hassle of contracts and employment details away from the main employing company.
So search for jobs in your area. Start by looking for the languages you know. Most sites will give an option of permanent or freelance/contract.
What you will see by looking in this way is that No job advert will list only the language required. You will also see the operating system on which the program is to run plus some database requirements too. Additional software will also be listed.
You must meet all of the requirements listed to be in with a chance of getting an interview. College work may not be enough. The company will probably want real experience on a real project listed on your resume. You will be questioned about this at the interview.
Your best option may be to try and find a junior or trainee role as a start.
