What free software is availabe for 3D animation?

I am a school teacher, and I am looking for some free software to develop 3D animation with my students. Blender is one option, but it is way too difficult for them to learn at the level that I am teaching. Any advice would be welcomed!What free software is availabe for 3D animation?I am a computer teacher and I find Art of Illusion which is free to be very good. Blender is more powerful but it's interface is very hard to master. I downloaded it and found it much less frustrating to use then Blender.
